BOX IN THE BOX

Description : The box-in-the-box concept is based on completely decoupling the floor, walls, and ceiling from the building structure to achieve maximum isolation from the surroundings. In such systems, all the noises coming from the structure borne transmission are eliminated and the airborne noise transmission is reduced considerably. Testing rooms, such as Audiometric Cabins where hearing tests are performed, could require a box-in-the-box system. Generator rooms are also problematic in buildings and require most of the time this system.
